LINCOLN DADS' NIGHT 25
2024 marks a milestone for Lincoln Dads’ Night as we commemorate our 25th anniversary, a testament to the power of community and tradition.
It all began in 1999, a visionary spark from Bill Gatoni and Steve Kolenack, who assembled the first Dads’ Night band, laying the foundation for what would become Lincoln’s iconic variety show. Dr. Mary Orr, then the principal, saw the potential and gave her unwavering support to this budding tradition. In 2006, Mike Panayos elevated our technical prowess, demonstrating commitment and skill that continues to dazzle us. As years unfolded, cherished traditions were born, including t-shirt designs and skit challenges that stoked creativity and camaraderie.
Our stage has been graced by celebrities such as the Jonas Brothers, Kaity Tong, and Bob Simon, and our humorous skits have found their way onto YouTube and even into a Subway commercial, showcasing the boundless spirit and joy our dads bring to the community. With Mr. Patrick Lee at the helm since 2015, his dual role as principal and enthusiastic participant has been instrumental in nurturing the show’s legacy and impact.
Beyond the laughter and entertainment, Dads’ Night has been a powerful force for good, raising over half a million dollars for our community. But perhaps its greatest achievement lies in the priceless connections it has fostered—lifelong friendships, joyous moments for our children, and cherished family memories that are truly invaluable.
As we celebrate this silver anniversary, we extend our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support. Together, we’ve not only built a tradition but a legacy of unity, joy, and giving that will inspire future generations. Thank you for being an integral part of this journey.
